The Kamen Rider franchise is a series of anime and manga about a hero that fights villains using a transforming motorcycle and various special moves. There are several different versions of the rider, or hero, each with their own unique set of abilities and style.
Kamen Rider Ex-Aid is one of the latest versions, featuring a game-themed hero that fights game-themed monsters. This version features a unique “bug” element, as the monsters are actually viruses that enter the world from a video game.
Several recent installments of the franchise have included “Generations” in their titles. Generations refers to several different Riders coming together to fight alongside or against each other. These Generations often feature cameos from past Riders and utilize their various abilities in combat.
Kamen Rider Ex-Aid
Kamen Rider Ex-Aid is the next generation Kamen Rider series that started in 2016. This series features a game-themed rider, whose unique ability is to change into different cybershared monsters.
Ex-Aid can also turn into a stronger form called Hyper Form, which only appears in the game he came from. His final form is the Maximum Mighty X, which was achieved by fusing with all of his previous forms.
His main enemies are the CRF virus, Parad and their army of Bugster Virus mutants. Confronting them requires strong and coordinated teamwork between Ex-Aid and all of his other forms.
Ex-Aid was designed as a more agile, acrobatic rider compared to the others who are more heavy set and muscular. His primary weapon is his Dual Breakers that can turn into a sword or dual pistols depending on what he needs at the time.
Kamen Rider Ghost
In 2013, the Kamen Rider franchise introduced a new hero: a school-aged boy named Kid who fought crime with a computer chip implanted in his brain.
This idea came from the growing popularity of mobile games and how they have flooded the market. It was also a way to introduce more technology into the series while still keeping it interesting.
Ghost uses a device called Ganbaru Watachi to transform him into a cybernetic being. This is what differentiates him from the other Riders, making him more powerful than them in some cases.
His enemies are viruses that enter human beings and take over their bodies, forcing them to do bad things like crime or murder. Ghost has to fight these viruses, protecting innocent humans that have been infected.
Heisei Generations: Dr. Pac-Man vs. Ex-Aid &Amp; Ghost With Legend Rider explained
This game features an extensive story mode, allowing the player to play through the stories of all of the Kamen Riders since Kuuga all the way to Ex-Aid and Ghost with Legend Rider.
The player starts with just Kuuga and then unlocks more characters as they progress through the stages. The stages are very similar to those in classic beat-‘em-ups like Streets of Rage or Double Dragon.
The enemies come in many forms, starting off with lowly grunts and then progressing to stronger enemies and bosses. The game also features crossovers with other popular media franchises, including Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Naruto.
The gameplay is very similar to that of classic beat-‘em-ups, but there are small tweaks that make a big difference. For instance, some enemies may have armor that must be attacked before they can be hurt internally.
Differences between the original Pac-Man and the new version
While Pac-Man has remained relatively unchanged since its release in 1980, there have been some differences between versions.
Most notably, the level design changed several times throughout the game’s history. The original version had a total of twenty-four levels, each getting progressively more difficult.
As the player completed levels, they would encounter a boss level that required the player to use a specific tactic to defeat it and move on.
The first version of the game only had one level and no true ‘boss’ level, only a higher difficulty level after completing all of the ‘levels’. This was fixed in later versions by adding a ‘boss’ level.
The second version of Pac-Man introduced special dots that awarded the player with an extra life when eaten. These were removed in later versions due to issues with players having too many lives and taking too long to finish the game.
Differences between the original Ex-Aid and the new version
The new Ex-Aid is a lot more mature and serious in nature, having almost no comic relief moments. He is a very focused, determined rider who will stop at nothing to protect his friends and the world from annihilation.
He also has some pretty cool fighting moves that Ex-Aid did not have before. For instance, he can do a forward flip with his skateboard which then turns into a sword that he can use to attack with.
Another difference is that this Ex-Aid has no memory of the previous one. This was done on purpose to make him more of a blank slate character so they could develop him as they saw fit. It also adds an element of surprise when he encounters old foes!
One last difference you might notice is his color scheme is slightly different. This was done to reflect the new Ex-Aid as a unique individual.
Differences between the original Ghost and the new version
While the original Ghost was a rather bland character with few notable qualities, the new version has some differences that make it stand out.
For one, the new Ghost is much more talkative than the original. While the original only uttered one or two words at a time, this version is very chatty and says several sentences at once.
Another thing is that this Ghost has a very flamboyant personality. It expresses itself in a very dramatic way, even when it’s just walking. It also acts quite sassy and sarcastic, which adds to its personality.
Finally, this version of Ghost has much more of an identity than the original did. While both are masked riders with ghost-themed powers, this one has a name (Yōta Yanase) and an official backstory. (He was a student who died in a bus crash.
The legacy of Heisei Generations: Dr. Pac-Man vs. Ex-Aid &Amp; Ghost With Legend Rider
The Heisei Generations series comes to a close with this game, bringing together all the previous titles and adding in some new features. This game is very interesting because it not only brings together all the previous titles, but it also brings together all the actors that have played roles in Kamen Rider.
All of the main characters from each series are included as playable characters and bosses. Some of the harder bosses to defeat are ones that were difficult in past games, such as Beat Fang Falcon who was hard to beat in Ghost Race.
Overall, this game is a great way to end off the Heisei era of Kamen Rider and pay homage to all the past heroes and villains! If you are a fan of Kamen Rider and have been following these games, then definitely pick this one up.
