Recent reports have indicated that there is a problem with the Facebook app. Apparently, some users are unable to see comments left on their posts by other users.
Users have reported that they can see likes on their posts, but not comments. Others have said they can see comments, but not likes. This seems to be inconsistent across users.
Unfortunately, there does not seem to be a clear solution for this problem yet. While we do not know what caused this issue, we do know how to fix it!
This issue seems to be most prevalent in the Android system, but some iPhone users have reported it as well. Luckily, there is an easy workaround for this problem that does not require you to download an app or change your phone type.
Restart your device
If the Facebook app is not working on your device, try restarting your device. This includes turning off your device and then turning it back on.
This applies to phones, tablets, watches, and smart speakers such as the Amazon Echo and Google Home. A hard reboot would be disabling the app store and re-installation app or re-installation of the operating system.
Sometimes bugs or glitches in the app software require a complete restart of the system to fix them. If you suspect this is the case, then you should consult a tech professional who can do a full system reset.
If this does not work, then try using a different browser to access Facebook to see if the problem is device specific or not. If it is specific to your device, then trying a new device may fix the problem.
Check to see if there are any app updates available
If you have the Facebook app on your phone, it’s possible that an app update was released and needs to be downloaded. To make sure you have the latest version, check in the app store to see if there is a new version.
If there is a new version, try uninstalling the current app and downloading the newest version to see if this fixes the problem. It could be a bug that was fixed in the new version, so it is worth trying out!
Many people have had issues with the latest version of the Facebook app so making sure you are on the correct version can help solve some problems.
If you do not have the Facebook app on your phone, try deleting the Facebook account from your device and re-adding it to see if that fixes the issue.
Contact Apple for help with the app
If all else fails, contact Apple Support for help with the Facebook app. You can do this via phone, chat, or email. Apple has very helpful staff that are able to assist you.
They have a wealth of knowledge about apps and how to troubleshoot issues with them, so this is an excellent resource to use when all else fails.
If you are unable to access the app store in the settings menu, then you can email them your device information and they will help you resolve the issue.
This is a great thing to do if you are not comfortable messing with your phone or device’s settings. They will be able to fix the issue for you!
If you are having issues with the Facebook app and cannot log into your account, then try contacting Apple for help with the app. They will be able to help you solve the issue or pass on information to Google or Facebook to resolve it.
Contact Facebook for help with the app
If all else fails, there is one last thing you can do- contact Facebook for help with the app. There are many ways to do this, but the best way is via email.
Facebook has an email specifically for app issues called [email protected] When you create an issue through this email, someone from Facebook will investigate your issue and get back to you.
An issue could be that the app is not functioning properly or that you cannot access the app due to a computer error. Both of these issues can be resolved by Facebook staff who investigate them.
If there is something wrong with your account that only you can see, they will take care of it for you! You could also just ask for a new account if the problem is with yours specifically.
Try contacting Facebook via [email protected] if you have tried everything else and need some more help.
Check your internet connection
If you are able to access the internet on your phone, but cannot load Facebook or see comments, then it may be an issue with the Facebook app.
Try deleting the app and downloading it again. If that does not work, try updating your Android version or Samsung Galaxy system. If that does not work, contact Samsung for help.
Some people have had issues with their Android version and had to switch to a different one to fix the issue. This is not recommended unless you are tech savvy and know how to back up your data.

Try using a different device
If you are having trouble seeing comments on your Facebook app, try using a different device to see if you have the same issue. If you can see comments on a different device, then it is likely an issue with your device and not Facebook itself.
Many people use more than one device, so trying another device is a good way to check if the issue is with Facebook or with your device. If you can see comments on another device, then try cleaning up the app and re-downloading it. This way you are also ensuring you have the most up-to-date version of the app.
If after trying a different device and re-downloading the app, you still cannot see comments, then contact Apple or Google about it and ask if they know of a solution for it. You could also contact Samsung if it is their phone.
Go to Settings > Accounts > Facebook > App Settings > Visibility > Edit Search History> Save Changes> Exit App> Open App> See Comments Again
If you are having issues seeing comments on the Facebook app, this fix may help you. By changing your privacy settings for the app and editing your search history, you can re-enable the ability to see comments.
First, go to Settings > Accounts > Facebook > App Settings and edit the Visibility setting to Everyone. Then, save the changes and exit the app.
Next, reopen the app and then log out of your account. Once you’ve logged out, try viewing a post or group chat—you’ll now be able to see all of the comments!
It seems that by making the app more public in your privacy settings and editing your search history somehow resets it.
