Over the past few years, there has been an uproar about who is winning the mobile platform war. Some argue that iOS has always had a leg up on Google’s (Samsung’s) popular smartphone operating system — until now. Now, it seems like even with all of the criticisms of Apple, they are still holding onto their lead!
Many people seem to have forgotten what made the iPhone so successful in the first place. At the time, it was way better than any other phone at connecting with social media sites and apps. It also boasted some of the best designed native applications (or “apps” as we call them today).
Now, however, things seem to be changing rapidly. More and more app developers are creating quality experiences for both iOS and Android devices. They are no longer choosing one over the other, but instead developing for both because they feel they get the same level of support.
It is true that most top-tier apps exist almost exclusively on either iOS or Android. But this is starting to change quickly. Technology moves fast, and companies come and go.
If you look back just five years ago, you would not find many decent games available for the Nintendo Wii. People were reluctant to buy new consoles due to worries about how much content would be released.
History of Samsung
In every decade, Samsung has risen to become one of the world’s top technology companies. They are an industry leader in smartphone manufacturing, display screens, digital cameras, home appliances, you name it!
Their rise as a company can be tied back to their founder Lee Byung-Chull. He created the business out of his garage with a $100,000 investment and by producing televisions that could play DVD movies.
Since then, he built upon those products and invested heavily in other technologies like semiconductors, displays, and mobile devices.
He also made sure to keep close relationships with key players in each field, supporting them both financially and socially. This allowed him to reap the benefits of what they had to offer while also promoting his own brand.
History is simply the series of events that shape our future so make sure to add some depth to your knowledge by reading about past occurrences. Also, research who Lee Byung-Chul was to understand more about his life and career.
History of Android
The term ‘Android’ was first coined in 2009 by CEO Sundar Pichai at an event for TechCrunch. At that time, he mentioned it as an open source software platform with rich user experience (UX) tools.
In his speech, he highlighted how users could easily switch between apps using the method known as multitasking or app windows. He also discussed how easy it is to add new features to the OS through its open source code base.
Since then, Google has continually updated and refined the operating system to make it more accessible to average smartphone users. Up until recently, most people knew Android not only because of its interface but also due to its rising popularity.
However, things are changing now. With each passing day, there are more and more cases where brands seem to be copying the look-and-feel of the mobile operating system. This includes color schemes, icon styles, and even some overall UI layouts.
It is very possible to identify which phones use Android by looking at their software versions and internal settings. However, if you want to know whether an app was built using the Android framework, this article will help!
We will discuss two types of apps that were probably used to create the given product. These include APKs and XML files. By comparing these files, you can determine whether an app uses the Android API or not. If it does, then it is definitely optimized for the Android ecosystem.
Comparing and contrasting Samsung and Android
It’s very common to find articles and discussions comparing or defining what makes an operating system (OS) “good.” They discuss which features are important, why some things matter more than others, and so on.
But it can get tricky when people start talking about specific brands.
You have to be careful how you use terms like “Android” and “Samsung” because they mean different things to different people. Using the wrong terminology could easily lead to incorrect conclusions.
This article will talk at length about why this is the case, how to properly use these terms, and what companies such as Google and Samsung actually tell us about their relationship with each other.
A short review
If you read our website before coming here, you probably noticed that we don’t use the term “Google Android” too often. We usually refer to the OS itself as just plain old “Android” unless there’s a reason not to.
The same goes for Samsung. Technically speaking, they develop their own version of Android called “Tizen,” but most people still call the mobile operating systems themselves and the company behind them both “Android” and “Galaxy.
Samsung and Apple
Both Google’s (Android) mobile platform and Samsung are very popular these days. They both have lots of users who enjoy their products and services.
However, there is one major difference between the two that some may not know about. What is the difference?
Well, let us look at it from another standpoint. Who makes more money off of each product?
As you can see here, it is clearly not the company that produces the product! That is what made them famous in the first place!
The companies that produce the engines that run the gadgets make the most money. In this case, it is clear which engine makes the most money- Microsoft’s!
Now compare that to the person who owns the house next door. He or she probably spends less time thinking about how much money they will earn than whether or not his or her neighbor will invite them over for dinner tonight.
That is why people work for The Rich – they think about how to make Money all day long!
Similarly, smartphone manufacturers spend their time thinking about how to make as many phones as possible so that they will make more money.
This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it does mean that they stop investing in new features because they already know that those things will keep customers coming back.
It also means that they don’t really focus too much on creating quality apps and software like they used to.
Samsung and the government
Over the past few years, there have been many conversations about whether or not you can trust Google and its mobile platform, particularly with regards to privacy. These discussions usually come down to one thing: are they doing enough to protect your data?
Google’s own statements seem to suggest that it doesn’t care much about protecting user information unless something bad happens like someone commits a crime using your account. Their top priority seems to be making money by gathering as much personal info as possible so they can target ads more effectively.
And while most people agree that advertisers should be vetted heavily before being allowed access to sensitive information, some feel that this is already the case. After all, how could anyone tell if an ad was fake or not without looking at who paid for it?
It also seems that even though companies clearly have their fair share of undesirables in their employ, executives don’t always take appropriate action when things do get out into the open. We saw what happened with Facebook after everything went public.
So now we have another example of a company that appears to value profit over security. In fact, it looks like the very survival of the company may depend on just that!
That’s why I think it’s important to separate those two issues apart.
Samsung and cryptocurrency
Over the past few months, there have been many comparisons drawn between Samsung’s recent decision to launch their own digital currency and how some people perceive cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. Many believe that by creating your own crypto-coin, they are proving that cryptocurrencies are not only an interesting concept, but also that you can make money off of them.
Some even go as far to say that this is proof that cryptocurrencies work and should be considered more mainstream. These arguments typically focus on how investing in cryptocurrencies is just like buying a stock or lottery ticket – it is definitely risky, but could potentially pay off.
However, these statements ignore two very important things: why most major corporations don’t create their own coin and why investing in stocks isn’t necessarily bad.
This article will explore those issues and what we can learn from them.
Samsung and the environment
Recent news reports have highlighted some of Samsung’s less than eco-friendly practices, such as using fossil fuel to make products that it sells in stores around the world.
In fact, The Guardian published an article earlier this year titled “Samsung’s deadly trade – making gadgets with coal power” where they described how one of Samsung’s factories used three tons of coal per hour to produce LCD screens for phones.
This is not only bad for the air quality, but also very expensive given that we are talking about large amounts of material being burned.
These types of stories are unfortunately all too common when it comes to big tech companies. They’re great corporations that make lots of money, so people tend to forget that they actually exist!
Large firms like Samsung do not place importance in environmental sustainability because their top priority is profit. This needn’t be the case though, as business has shown.
Is Samsung a good brand?
As we have seen, branding is an integral part of any successful business. A company that can clearly define who they are and what they stand for will never lose market share. They will always be known as the go-to source for their product type.
For example, Coca Cola is famous for being easily recognizable by its red color and classic logo. Even if you did not like their latest flavor or bottle design, you at least know what to expect from them. You get quality sugar with a little bit of acid.
Coke is also well known for investing in great marketing strategies and promoting their brands. They spend money to create awareness, influence buying decisions, and establish relationships with others in the industry.
By having this strong identity, Coke has remained popular since the beginning. People recognize them and come back because it is worth the price tag. It is also hard to ignore a well-known name.
With that said, let’s look at the case of smartphone manufacturer Samsung.
