Methanol
Methanol, often called alcohol of death, is one of the most fearsome substances in existence. It is used as an anaesthetic, but its use as a intoxicant is much more common.
Its reputation as a poison has helped it gain prominence in the CBD area, where it’s found in large quantities in form of methanol-based products.
This includes fuels such as gasoline and dried liquid vegetable oil formulations such as cooking oil.
Unfortunately, due to its low toxicity levels, most people are unaware that methanol is even a poison. This leads to it being overused and abused, which can ultimately be harmful.

Butanol
Butanol is a rare, unique alcohol that doesn’t exist in common forms such as gasoline or diet alcohols. Butanol is mainly used as a ingredient in ketamine gas, which is a substitute for heroin.

Hexanol

As the name suggests, hexanol is an official six-digit alcohol code. This code signifies that it is primarily 6-membered ringed, having at least one other carbon-based ring attached to it.
This extra carbon-based ring can be either vacant or filled with hydrogen and/or oxygen! Due to its complexity, hexanol has very unique properties.
Some of these properties include being able to change color when heated, changing liquid/solid states when cooled, and working in place of various ingredients in cooking.
Octanol
The octanol portion of an alcohol’s composition is called the octanol content. This portion measures out to a basic liquid with little or no oxygen present. This makes it non-vulnerable to distillation, which is how alcohols are processed into beverages.
Primary and basic alcohols have a very different octanol content than secondary and mixed-mode alcohols. Because of this, it is important to classify primary and secondary alcohols differently. Phenol
Phenol is an alcohol with unique properties. It can be classified as a primary component of some drinks, including gin and vodka. This notable feature makes phenol valuable to bartenders and mixologists!
Phenol is a breakdown product of sugar, which is found in many foods including plants and desserts such as sugar bowls. When combined with alcohol, phenol creates an effect that can range from mildly intoxicating to outright harmful.
Unfortunately, many beverages containing phenol are not recognized by the government as public health “ Hansenoids”, a term used to describe substances that cause harmful reactions in the body. This can lead to impaired judgement, injury or death for those who do not know what Phenols are drinking contains them.
This can be very dangerous, especially when mixed with unprotected sex or drunk sex is not the only physical contact involved.
Acetone
Acetone is one of the oldest compounds in existence. It has been synthesized as an ingredient in some medicines today. In fact, it was only recently that acetone was defined as an alcoholic liquid.
Acetone comes in several forms, including almost pure acetone ester, partially methylated acetone ester, and completely methylated acetONE ester. All of these forms are combined together as propionaldehyde, the simplest form of acetone.
Although it is an extremely common substance,acetONE does not appear to be primarily used frequently. Only a few hundred milligrams of propionaldehyde are combined into each drink every month! Fortunately, this does not seem to affect people’s stomachs or mouths because they do not consume it.
