Last element of plist
If you want your plist to have a whole lot of elements, then the last element should be an element list. This is because there are a lot of elements in the plist, and they need to be organized in the list.
The element list must be long, as there are thirty elements in the plist. Having only a few elements in the plist would look strange and add unnecessary effort to create your preference settings.
Add a new element to the end of the list
This is a good way to add an extra element to the list. Doing this will help make your plist more complex and update it when a new element is added.
Make this new element a Dictionary
In a list, there are either a set of elements or a set of things. In a dictionary, there are elements, but also things like words or categories.
When creating a list, you can add an element by typing the name of the element followed by an ellipsis. For example, the list of ingredients for a recipe is an element.

These two types of lists and dictionaries represent different ways to define elements and areas in text. When designing websites and documents that target specific audiences, know which type of text goes into which type of space to define elements and areas.
Add elements to this new Dictionary
When your list of elements is long, you can start to run out of space. By adding an additional element to the end of your list, you can add an extra element to the list without taking away from the rest of your ingredients.
This trick works for lists, too! You can create a new list and add elements to it anytime you want.

Add the word last in your spelling of the list of elements. For example, your list would look like this: temperature_change_amounts instead of this: temperature_change_amounts_last.

Use JSON instead of plists
plist is also supported in iOS 11 and above. However, many developers choose to use it due to its support for nested data structures.
plist allows you to define data structures such as list, table, and binlog. These data structures can then be nested inside other data structures.
This can be very useful when building out complex apps that require extensive organization, management, and customization. For example, an app may have a payment account with card details, loyalty rewards points tracked for purchases at a store or online purchases made in one location.
Some applications even require user data like email addresses and phone numbers as well as the 30 elements defined in plist.
Avoid using plists altogether
Another potentially useful tool is a plist editor. A plist editor allows you to define custom elements within your list, add/remove elements, and replace existing ones with new ones.
Unfortunately, the best plists editors do not currently support adding an element after the initial list-building element and only offer a limited number of replacements.
This makes it difficult to create complex lists that require extensive editing, such as lists of rewards you want to give out at different lengths or for different reasons.
Use a different data structure altogether
Instead of using lists or structures that use fields to organize data, use custom data types. This allows you to replace the list or structure type in which your elements are organized.
For example, instead of using a list to organize your users, organization them by email address. Or organization them by product and then adding an extra level for special products.
Using custom data types makes it easier to change the way your data is structured without having to rewrite your application code. Furthermore, it can replace other storage solutions such as SQL or JSON databases.
