Pinning a tweet allows you to save a tweet to your profile for later viewing. This feature was originally created by Twitter for users to access important tweets, like updates from official accounts, like the official Twitter account or the account for an organization or business.
Users had to click on the pinned tweet to un-pin it, making it harder to hide important information. Now, with the new update allowing anyone to pin any tweet, anyone can now pin anything!
You can pin either a tweet from your own account or someone else’s account. When you do this, however, the original author of the tweet will get no more visibility or recognition than they did when you pinned it.
If you want to pin a tweet but do not want to lose the recognition of the author, then you can re-write some of the content and add your own images and emojis before pinning it.
Click “Pin to your profile”
After you have clicked the “Tweet” button, you will be taken to a page where you can pin the tweet to your profile. To do this, you must click the gray “Pin to your profile” button at the top of the page.
This will add the tweet to your profile as a pinned post, making it stand out more than a average tweet. It will look similar to an Instagram post, with a picture frame around it.
People who follow you will then be notified that you posted on Twitter, and can go look at your post. This gives more visibility to the post than if it was just a normal tweet.
You are able to pin both tweets that were sent by other users and ones that you posted yourself. You can also un-pin a tweet, like if you decide that was not your best work.
The tweet will now be pinned and shown before your other tweets
Pinning a tweet allows you to highlight a tweet and make it stand out more than your other tweets. When you pin a tweet, it will be highlighted at the top of your Twitter page instead of being sorted in chronological order with your other tweets.
Anyone can pin a tweet, and anyone can pin your tweets to their profile. Anyone viewing your profile can see all of your pinned tweets in order, so make sure they are good ones!
Pinned tweets do not disappear from the site, so make sure you do not over-pin something that is no longer important. You can also unpin a tweet at any time if you change your mind.
This feature is very useful for organizations, businesses, and people who have events or announcements that need extra attention. Pinning an announcement will ensure that it stands out on your profile and gets more views and engagement.
This pin will stay until you unpin it
Once you have pinned a tweet, it will stay on your profile until you unpin it. This means that even if the original tweeter deletes their tweet, yours will still remain.
Unpinning a tweet can be done by clicking the pin icon next to the tweet and selecting remove pin. You can do this at any time, even if you pinned it years ago.
Twitter has limits on how many tweets you can pin per account but it is not disclosed how many that is. It seems to change over time as well so keep an eye out for that.
You can also make it a favorite by clicking the star next to the like button
Pinning a tweet allows you to save that information to your profile. Anyone can visit your profile and see the pinned tweets, so make sure it is something worth keeping!
The way you pin a tweet changes depending on if you have the official Twitter app or not. If you do, it is very easy to pin a tweet.
If you do not have the official Twitter app, then you must download one that has the feature to pin tweets. There are many apps that have this feature, so check some of those out if you do not use the official one.
Once done, look at your profile and see your pinned tweets! Anyone can click on them to go to the full tweet page and read the full content.
Find the tweet you want to pin and click the three dots next to the like button
Pinning a tweet allows you to save the information being tweeted for later viewing. You can do this by clicking or tap the three dots next to the like button and selecting Pin tweet.
This will bring you to a new page where you can edit the title of the pinned tweet and add a short description before confirming pinning. Once confirmed, your pinned tweet will be saved and accessible via your profile or through the search bar.
You can also pin someone else’s tweets by going to their profile and clicking the pin button at the bottom of the tweet. This will save that specific tweet for later viewing instead of automatically liking or favoring it.
Remember: You have to be logged into your Twitter account to be able to pin, favorite, or unfollow someone.
Click “Pin to your profile”
To pin a tweet to your profile, click the gray “Pin to your profile” button under the tweet. A new page will open where you can edit the caption and add an image.
You can choose any image from the tweet or use your own. When using your own, it must be taller than it is wide so it fits with the square shape of the tweet.
After editing the caption and adding an image, click “pin” and you’re done! Your followers will now see this tweet on their profiles as well.
You can unpin a tweet by clicking on the pin button on your profile and selecting this feature, or by deleting it. Both of these take back the opportunity to re-post it as your own. It is recommended you do not do this unless necessary.
The tweet will now be pinned and shown before your other tweets
Pinning a tweet allows you to showcase a specific tweet at the top of your account. All users can pin a tweet, and any user can pin your tweets to their profile as well.
Any user can pin a tweet, even if they do not follow them. This allows for community interaction and promotion of content. Once pinned, anyone who visits your profile can see the most recent pinned tweet.
Pinned tweets are special in that they remain at the top of your timeline even after you post new tweets. This makes it possible to promote something once and have it stay visible for some time.
Unpinning a tweet will remove its pinned status. You can pin another tweet then, or stop pinning tweets entirely. Doing the latter will not affect past pins, it only changes whether or not a new tweet is pinned or not.
This pin will stay until you unpin it
Once you have pinned a tweet, that pin will stay on your Twitter timeline until you choose to unpin it. You can pin as many tweets as you want, but only one per Twitter user.
You can also choose to unpin a tweet at any time. To do this, simply go to your pins and click the green button that says Pinned. Then, select the tweet you want to unpin and click the grey trash can button.
If you pin a lot of tweets and then decide you want to favorite them instead, you can do that! Favouriting a tweet replaces the pin with the original link of the tweet.
