That is why it is so important that you as a consumer know where your products come from. You want to make sure that what we refer to as the ‘system of values’ is clear for everyone to see. If it isn’t, then someone else will create their own set of values which can be very distracting or even damaging to our relationships, careers, and lives.
So here we are talking about one company and whether their production facilities comply with international labor laws. We will discuss if they abide by standards that ensure workers have safe working conditions, fair wages, and benefits such as health insurance. These standards vary country to country and even region to region within a country.
We will also look at whether the government enforces those regulations, and if companies actively participate in regulatory agencies to prevent violations. How well do they cooperate when regulators perform investigations? All of this comes down to just how invested in creating a sustainable future they are for themselves and the generations to follow.
Now, let’s take a closer look at one specific company-Samsung.
Samsung Electronics
As mentioned before, Samsung is a multinational conglomerate company that does business in many different industries. They make things like televisions, computers, phones, and more! All of these products are manufactured either in their home country or a third-party factory they have hired to produce them.

Since it was first announced in 2016, many have speculated where Samsung’s mobile payments service, Samsung Pay, is actually manufactured. Does Samsung pay use an iPhone technology or does it create its own?
The truth is that Samsung has never publicly stated where their payment services are made. They only state that they source the highest quality components for their products and invest heavily in R&D to ensure that their services remain competitive.

It’s all just a simple way to give back and appreciate the technology we have at our disposal.
