How To See Old Notifications Iphone?

When using an iPhone for the first time, you will probably notice that there is no way to access your old notifications. You can check the Settings app to see if they are enabled but you won’t be able to view them unless and until you enable it.

This article will talk about some easy ways to get past this limitation by either creating new accounts or logging into existing accounts with help from Google, Facebook, and Apple themselves!

Google, Facebook, and Apple all have separate tools which allow you to retrieve older notification data depending on whether you logged in through their site or via the device. This article will go over how to do this at each provider individually.

Try to find a notification you missed

There’s no way to see all of your past notifications, but you can usually view them from the timeline or list style views. If you cannot access those, there is an easy workaround that will at least give you a glimpse into the past.

You can go through each app and manually check if it has any notifications. Then, for every item that comes up empty, click the “Show in Timeline View” button next to it. This will take you back to the same overview mode where you could see recent activity, but now with added time markers.

By moving the slider left or right, you will be able to see when specific apps were opened and by how long they stayed open.

Reboot your iPhone

If you are ever unable to access your phone’s settings or app list, it is best to reboot your device. To do this, press and hold the sleep/wake button for several seconds then choose “Reboot system now.”

If after doing so, you still cannot get into Settings or an app does not open properly, then perform a hard reset by choosing “Restore” from within Settings. This will remove all of your apps, files, and data and install them again!

This will definitely fix any possible internal iOS issues that could be causing your phone to malfunction.

Run a backup

If you are ever missing old notifications, there is an easy way to access them. When your phone receives a notification it saves the information in a database that can be accessed at any time.

If you run into trouble now, you have this database already! You will just need to refresh your device to see all of the past notifications.

This article will talk about some simple ways to back up your iPhone so you are never left with no proof of what happened to your phone.

Use a different iPhone

If you have given up on ever seeing your old notifications, it is time to consider replacing your current phone.

I know this may seem extreme, but before deciding if changing phones is the right thing for you, try using a different iPhone first.

You can still use all of the same apps on an older version of iOS so that can help you get used to the new one. Then, once you are able to easily access your past notifications, you can switch over completely.

This article will talk about some easy ways to do this.

Restore your phone

If you accidentally clear all notifications, then it is very important to restore your device as possible. You can do this by downloading an app that restores factory settings for iOS phones. These are extremely popular due to their efficiency in restoring lost data and settings.

There are many apps that claim to be able to fix iPhone issues so if one of these seems reliable, try it! Many people have recovered data from their iPhones using one of these apps.

Try a fresh reset

It is possible to see all of your past notifications by doing a full restore. This will clear out anything you have installed or done with your phone in the past, including apps, settings, and data.

You can also start from scratch when restoring your device. Make sure to backup everything first!

Luckily, this is an easy process that almost anyone can do. Simply connect your iPhone to computer using USB cable, launch iTunes, and choose To Transfer > From Phone. Then use the + button to find and install iOS automatically or manually (manually may take longer).

Once it has been downloaded and set up, go into Settings -> General -> Reset -> Delete User Data. Press through the prompts until you get to the confirmation screen then click Start Restore.

Use a different iCloud account

If you use an old phone that still has the original login information, you can access your past notifications by creating a new iCloud account.

You will need to have your computer or device connected to the internet in order to do this. You will also need the exact username and password for your current iCloud account.

Once everything is set up correctly, download the iOS Device Manager app from Google Play or the Apple App Store.

Now, connect your older iPhone to your computer via USB cable and launch the app. After it detects your device, click “View Details” then choose between “Show All Settings” and “Show Only Basic Settings.

Update your iOS software

The first step in seeing your old notifications is making sure that you are up-to-date with all of the apps on your phone!
