Over the past few months, there have been reports of many people that use Gmail, Yahoo Mail, or another popular email service like Outlook, Apple iCloud, or FastMail to try and add an account with Comcast as a user or potential customer. However can easily be one of two things- you are successful in adding the account, but it seems to go through successfully for a short time before failing and giving you an error saying “We’re sorry…something went wrong while signing up for our services” or something similar.
The errors vary slightly from person to person, but they all seem to include the word “mailbox” in some form. Some say “unable to find your mailbox”, others say “mailbox not found”, and several said they could not connect to their mail server either.
There is no real reason why someone would get this message, so most people assume it must be due to too much traffic on their computer causing a slow connection which makes it difficult to connect. Many believe it is just because their internet speed is limited at the moment, making it hard to maintain a good signal.
You used an old address
Sometimes, even after you update your email addresses with a company, you will still be unable to send or receive messages. This can happen due to several reasons, one of which is that someone else has already claimed the old account!
You may have received mail at your previous address, and since then you’ve changed your email address or people may know about the change but not your new address.
It is important to make sure everything is updated correctly before trying to send an email or start receiving emails again.
If you notice that you are having trouble sending or receiving emails, do not worry! There are some things you can do to fix it!
Fixing message delivery issues varies depending on what type of device and software you use to access your accounts. Some clients and apps automatically re-verify your accounts when there is a problem, while others do not.
This article will help you determine if this applies to you and how to fix any possible problems.
Your mailbox is full
A lot of messages get lost during transmission due to something called message overflow. This happens when your email program can no longer fit all of the incoming messages into its internal cache or temporary storage space, so it must delete some old messages to make room for newer ones.
If you check your Messages folder inside Windows Explorer, you may find that it’s completely filled up with files. The same thing will happen in your Gmail account if there are too many new emails.
You could also run out of disk space on your computer hard drive. If this occurs, most email programs will save copies of each message in their archives until they have free space again, which can slow down navigation slightly while you wait for those messages to load.
However, unless you have a very large inbox that requires lots of RAM to sort through, this should not be an issue for most people.
Your email address is not with Comcast
If you are having issues sending or receiving emails through your computer, phone, or device, it could be because of one of two things:
Your internet service provider (ISP) does not recognize your current email address as being connected to Comcast.
You cannot connect to our mail server using that address.
To determine if option number one applies to you, you will need to contact Comcast directly by visiting their website or calling them at a customer services hotline.
Option number two can be verified easily by looking in your spam folder on whichever device you use to send messages. A lot of people start off with an ISP account and then later add additional apps like Gmail, Yahoo!, or Facebook which have separate mailing lists, servers, and tools.
You changed your email address
It is very common for people to change their email addresses at some point in their lives. This can be due to changing jobs, life circumstances, or maybe you just want a new username!
Comcast is a large company that offers cable TV services as well as internet service. Like any other big companies, they have different levels of customer service available to you depending on how much money you spend with them.
If you are having problems contacting someone via phone or chat, then becoming a Comcast Customer Service Representative (CSCS) may be your best option.
As a CSCS, you will get to work for one of the top telecom providers in America which can help gain you more career opportunities. Finding out if this is a good fit should not depend only on income, but also on whether you are willing to put in the effort to grow within the organization.
There are many ways to advance within Comcast, so there is almost always something for anyone to do.
Your email address is not confirmed
There are several reasons why your Comcast email account may be unable to send messages. It could be due to something you did, or someone else did that has permissions to use your account, or it could be because of how your settings are configured.
It’s important to note that even if you can’t send an email, this does not mean your email provider cannot access your inbox! They likely have ways to verify your identity, so they might use another method to do this.
Something we recommend doing is creating a new Gmail password just for online accounts. This will help prevent anyone who gets their hands on your old login information from accessing your other services. You should also change your passwords at any other sites where you used the same username as here.
This article will go over some potential causes for sending message issues and what you can do to fix them.
Your email address is incorrect
One of the most common reasons for experiencing this issue is when your email provider does not recognize your current email address as valid. This can happen due to changes you made to your email or because someone else changed it without telling you!
It’s very important that you do not use poor quality internet services to send messages, so if you are having issues sending an email, check your email account first to see if there have been any connection problems.
Also make sure your computer is connected to the internet and that you have enough bandwidth (or speed) to send emails. Sometimes, users will connect to WiFi which has limited bandwidth, causing slow down in messaging apps like Gmail.
If these checks prove positive then we suggest trying another mail service before blaming Comcast.
You need to check your spam folder
It is very possible that all of these issues could be resolved if you checked your spam folder. Most email providers have an option to let users add additional mailboxes called SPAM or junk mail, which are used for general messages such as “We’ve received some comments about your account, so we wanted to make sure you were aware!”
This happens sometimes when someone deletes their account or in our case, they accidentally deleted everything from their computer. When this occurs, your email provider automatically moves all of that user’s information into another mailbox called ‘junk mail’, which is typically reserved only for non-delivery notices and other similar types of emails.
By default, most people don’t look at their junk box very often, but it can contain important information so it’s best to take a little time to review it.
Your phone number is incorrect
One of the most important pieces of communication equipment that you have as an entrepreneur or business owner is your phone. You will need it to make calls, send messages, and put in place necessary meetings while you are running your company.
Luckily, there’s one simple thing you can do to fix this problem if you’re experiencing issues sending emails through Comcast. All you need to do is verify that your mobile device is connected to the internet via WiFi or LTE instead of using cellular data.
